Rates and Pricing

A comprehensive psychological evaluation usually requires many hours of professional time.  Psychological services are billed at an hourly rate of $250.  Most evaluations require between 14-20 hours of service, with the total cost ranging from $3,500-$5,000.  At the end of the initial information gathering session, the psychologist will give you a good faith estimate of the amount of time required for your individualized evaluation.

Provincial health insurance typically does not cover psychological assessment services.  If you have private or supplemental health insurance, you may check with your provider to see if they will cover the cost of psychological assessments.  They may require a referral from a primary care doctor or another healthcare professional.  You are encouraged to gather information from your benefits provider prior to beginning a psychological assessment.
